  • PISCATAWAY, N.J. (September 25, 2012) – The Rutgers men’s basketball team will host “MidKnight Madness” on Friday, Oct. 12 at the College Avenue Gymnasium on the main campus in New Brunswick at 9:30 p.m. The much anticipated event, which will be broadcast live on RVision presented by AT&T, is free and open to the public.

“Last year’s MidKnight Madness was a great success and we expect this year’s to be even better,” said head men’s basketball coach Mike Rice. “I can’t wait to show off our ‘new school ball’ in an ‘old school hall.’ It’s definitely going to be an exciting night.”

Attending fans will receive limited edition t-shirts, while supplies last. Doors open at 9 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as seating at the historic facility is limited.

SNY television personality and Rutgers radio play-by-play voice Chris Carlin will serve as emcee for “MidKnight Madness,” which will feature a slam dunk competition, player introductions, highlight video, fan contests, scrimmage and the cheer & dance squads. The Rutgers Pep Band and a live DJ will also be on hand to provide the evening’s soundtrack.

Season tickets are now on sale for the 2012-13 Rutgers men’s basketball season and can be purchased for as little as $150.00.
