PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 19, 2012) – Rutgers Athletics announced today that the BIG EAST men’s basketball match-up between the host Scarlet Knights and Syracuse on Sunday, Feb. 19 is sold out. A limited number of student tickets are still available for the contest, which is slated for a 1 p.m. tip-off at the RAC.
The Orange is currently 20-0 and ranked No. 1 in both polls. Rutgers has defeated the last three top ten-ranked teams to play at the RAC, including No. 10 Florida and No. 8 Connecticut this season. After a 65-58 win over Notre Dame on Monday, the Scarlet Knights have an 11-8 (3-3 BIG EAST) record and are off to their best start in conference play since 2003-04.
Limited seats remain for the game versus rival Seton Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. Don’t miss the remaining BIG EAST Conference action at home against DePaul (Wed., Jan. 25, 7 p.m.), Cincinnati (Sat., Jan. 28, 6 p.m.), Villanova (Thurs., March 1, 9 p.m.) and St. John’s (Sat., March 3, 8 p.m.).
A “Family 4-Pack” is available for the contest against the Blue Demons. Families can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas at a discounted price of only $60.00 in advance. The game versus the Bearcats is “Youth Hoopsters’ Night,” while also featuring a RAH Food Drive. Kids 12-and-under wearing their youth basketball jersey receives free admission with purchase of at least one adult ticket (maximum five kids per adult ticket).
Rutgers returns to the hardwood on Saturday (Jan. 21) to play No. 10/12 Georgetown in a 12 noon tip-off at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The game will be televised live on SNY, WPVI-TV 6 in Philadelphia and via the web at watchespn.com.
