NORFOLK, VA – The weather system that forced the postponement of the Rutgers-Old Dominion baseball game on Saturday continued today, halting the completion of the contest. Every attempt was made to reconvene at noon today, however officials determined the field was not playable. Since the teams played five innings on Saturday, it was declared official with Old Dominion picking up the victory, 5-2. The third game in the series, scheduled for 1 p.m. today, was also cancelled." />

  • NORFOLK, VA – The weather system that forced the postponement of the Rutgers-Old Dominion baseball game on Saturday continued today, halting the completion of the contest. Every attempt was made to reconvene at noon today, however officials determined the field was not playable. Since the teams played five innings on Saturday, it was declared official with Old Dominion picking up the victory, 5-2. The third game in the series, scheduled for 1 p.m. today, was also cancelled.

    With the loss, the Scarlet Knights drop to 0-2 on the season. RU reliever Aaron Kalb (Middletown, NJ) took the loss, falling to 0-1 on the season.

    Rutgers will be back in action Friday, Feb . 28, traveling to Nashville, TN, to compete in the Vanderbilt Tournament.
