Rutgers baseball fell 4-2 in the return game of a home-and-home midweek series with Delaware Wednesday at Bainton Field. The Scarlet Knights prevailed 4-2 over the Blue Hens last Tuesday at Bob Hannah Stadium.

Rutgers baseball is nearing its goal of $10,000 raised for the Vs. Cancer Fundraiser with less than a week to go. The Scarlet Knights have currently brought in $9,055 and the entire team will be shaving their heads after this Sunday’s game at Bainton Field against Connecticut in support.

April-29-13 Baseball Set for Final Midweek Games
Wrapping up a stretch of seven straight non-conference games, Rutgers baseball will travel to Hofstra and host Delaware in its final midweek games on the schedule. The Tuesday and Wednesday contests will begin at 3 p.m.

Rutgers baseball surrendered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th inning to fall to Creighton, 3-2, in a night game Saturday at TD Ameritrade Park. It was the first time this season the Scarlet Knights lost when leading after six or eight innings (18-1).

April-26-13 Baseball Downed by No. 24 Oklahoma State, 4-1
No. 24 Oklahoma State broke open a scoreless tie with four runs in the sixth inning to down Rutgers baseball, 4-1, in the opener of the TD Ameritrade Classic Friday.

April-26-13 Baseball Ready for TD Ameritrade Classic in Omaha
After winning its two midweek games, Rutgers baseball will take the weekend off from BIG EAST play and compete against No. 24 Oklahoma State, Creighton and Nebraska in the TD Ameritrade Classic at the site of the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

April-24-13 Baseball Soars Past Wagner, 9-5
Rutgers baseball scored seven runs in the first four innings on the way to defeating Wagner, 9-5, Wednesday at Bainton Field. Senior Steve Zavala recorded three hits to lead the offense, while freshman Howie Brey worked 4.2 innings in relief to earn the win on the mound.
