Baseball Announces 2009 Summer Camp Slate |
| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Registration is now open for Rutgers baseball summer camps. The program will hold seven instructional camps June through August under the guidance of a veteran coaching staff, led by Scarlet Knight head coach Fred Hill, who owns more the 975 career victories. Each camp, which is held on the team's state-of-the-art baseball field in Piscataway, is geared towards specific skill development. |

Matthews Earns All-BIG EAST Baseball Honors |
| CLEARWATER, Fla. – Rutgers sophomore first baseman Jaren Matthews (Teaneck, N.J.) was an All-BIG EAST Third Team selection, the league announced at is annual awards banquet Monday evening. Matthews, one of two Scarlet Knights to start all 53 games this season, finished second on the Rutgers roster with a .328 batting average. |

| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers baseball team will close its season with a three-game series against Georgetown Thursday through Saturday at Bainton Field in Piscataway. The Scarlet Knights and Hoyas will open the three-game set with 3:00 p.m. games Thursday and Friday and conclude with a 1:00 p.m. contest Saturday. |

Beard Named to BIG EAST Baseball Weekly Honor Roll |
| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Redshirt freshman pitcher Willie Beard (Spotswood, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Conference Baseball Weekly Honor Roll, the league announced. Beard was recognized after pitching a career-long 7.1 innings of one-run ball with five strikeouts to earn his first BIG EAST victory in Rutgers’ 3-1 win over Seton Hall Saturday. |

| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Seton Hall escaped with a 14-10 victory over the Rutgers baseball team on a Chris Affinito eighth-inning grand slam in a Sunday slugfest at Bainton Field in Piscataway. The win gave SHU (23-22, 12-12 BIG EAST) its first series victory over RU (20-30, 6-18 BIG EAST) in three years. |
