In an attempt to sweep the series, Rutgers baseball fell short in an 11-8 defeat to Hartford in the finale Sunday at Bainton Field. It was the 10th game in the last 13 days for the Scarlet Knights.

Freshman right-hander Gaby Rosa (Perth Amboy, N.J.) surrendered no earned runs over eight innings to lead Rutgers baseball to a 4-1 win over Hartford Saturday at Bainton Field. The Scarlet Knights scored all four runs in the sixth inning to clinch the series victory versus the Hawks.

April-11-14 Clemente Delivers Walk-Off Single
Senior Lou Clemente (Union, N.J.) delivered a two-run walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift Rutgers baseball to a 4-3 win in the series opener versus Hartford Friday at Bainton Field.

April-10-14 Baseball Opens Series Against Hartford
Rutgers baseball will host its second series of the season when it takes on Hartford at Bainton Field this weekend. It will be the first non-conference home weekend series for the Scarlet Knights since 1997.

Senior Pat Sweeney (Sparta, N.J.) went 4-for-4 with a home run, three runs and three RBIs to lead Rutgers baseball to a 13-3 win over Fordham Tuesday night at FirstEnergy Park, home of the Lakewood BlueClaws. The Scarlet Knights pounded out a season-high 17 hits in the victory.

April-07-14 Baseball Set to Host Fordham in Lakewood
Rutgers baseball will head south to host Fordham Tuesday at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, N.J., home of the Lakewood BlueClaws. Admission is free and the gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
