Junior transfer Mark McCoy (Barnegat, N.J.) and true freshman James Torres (Bloomfield, N.J.) have joined the Rutgers baseball program, head coach Joe Litterio announced today. Both pitchers are immediately eligible to compete for the Scarlet Knights.

Legendary Rutgers head coach Fred Hill has been elected to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Hall of Fame, the organization announced. Hill retired from coaching in February with 1,089 career victories at the collegiate level over 37 years.
