The Priority Point Program is the system used by Rutgers Athletics to rank R Fund supporters for the allocation and distribution of seating and parking, as well as away game and postseason ticketing requests. The below figure illustrates the criteria used to award Priority Points:

Total Points

Annual Athletic Gift(s)/Pledge(s) - Gifts and pledges made to any Rutgers Athletics fund between July 1and June 30, which represents the start and end of the Rutgers Foundation Fiscal Year. One point per every $100.*Note that to count towards Football priority points, gifts must be made between July 1 and April 30. Any gifts made after April 30 and before July 1 will count towards Men's and Women's Basketball seating and parking, as well as any Football and Basketball post season tickets.

Lifetime University Giving - The cumulative total of all gifts (Academic and Athletics) you have made to Rutgers University, as recognized by the Rutgers University Foundation. One point per every $1,000.

Current Season Ticket Purchases - The combined number of full season tickets purchased for football, men's and women's basketball, and wrestling during the most recently completed full academic season. One point for each full season ticket purchased.

Consecutive Years of Purchase - The combined number of consecutive years in which you have been a full season ticket holder for football, men's and/or women's basketball, and wrestling. For example, if a supporter has been a football season ticket holder for 20 years, a men's basketball ticket holder for 15 years, a women's basketball season ticket holder for 10 years, they will be awarded with 43 Consecutive Years of Purchase priority points. A consecutive year is earned upon the completion of the full academic season. One point for each sport.

NEW! Consecutive Years of Giving - The number of consecutive years of giving to R Fund. Two points for each consecutive year of giving. These points, which reward donors for renewing their gifts annually, revert to zero if a year of giving is missed. Points will not be credited for retroactive athletic giving prior to the launch of R Fund. All supporters who donate between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2015 will be credited with 2 priority points for consecutive years of giving. These priority points will count towards 2016 Football, 2016-2017 Men's Basketball, and 2016-2017 Women's Basketball.

The Loyalty Program rewards longtime season ticket holders with bonus points once they reach certain milestones. Each milestone is calculated by the combined number of years in which football, men's basketball, women's basketball, and wrestling season tickets have been purchased consecutively. Once each milestone is met, ticket holders will receive a set number of bonus points annually.

5-9 years of purchase: 1 bonus point
10-19 years of purchase: 2 bonus points
20-29 years of purchase: 4 bonus points
30-39 years of purchase: 6 bonus points
40-49 years of purchase: 8 bonus points
50 plus years of purchase: 10 bonus points

Seating & Parking Priority Point Compilation Deadlines

Priority Points Determine All Parking Allocations
During the season ticket renewal period, each season ticket holder will rank their parking location preferences. Each request will be fulfilled based upon a combination of ticket holder's stated preference and standing in the priority point program at the parking and seating deadline.

Priority Point Transfer Policy
If Football, Men's/Women's Basketball or Wrestling season tickets are being transferred to a new season ticket holder, priority points can also be transferred under the following criteria.

Lifetime Giving points can be transferred to a spouse (or linked entity) only. A linked entity is defined by someone who receives the recognition credit for any gift made by the season ticket holder.

Annual Giving points can be transferred to a spouse (or linked entity) only. These points reset to zero at the beginning of each fiscal year (July 1st), so only the points acquired in that year can be transferred.

Consecutive Years of Purchase points can only be transferred to a relative. This includes combined consecutive years of purchase for Football, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball. If any season is not renewed for one year, you will begin back at zero for that sport.

Consecutive Years of Giving points can be transferred to a spouse (or linked entity) only. This is a new category as of 2015. If a donation is made in 2015 (at a minimum of $100 to the RFund), and again in 2016, two points will be rewarded. If a year of donations is missed, you will begin back at zero.
